Honey Cake 蜂蜜蛋糕


This soft and slightly moist Honey Cake tastes just great with the right sweetness to me, at least. It's a simple cake flavoured with honey and lemon and the sweet aroma wafting through the kitchen during the process of baking was just wonderful. This makes a yummy dessert served with a dollop of ice cream or even on its own with a cup of coffee or tea.


Honey Cake

       Ingredients:
       200g plain flour (1 3/4 cups)
       3/4tsp baking powder
       1/2tsp baking soda
       1/2tsp cinnamon powder
       1/2tsp salt
       2 large eggs       
       70g caster sugar or brown sugar (1/3cup)
       75g honey (1/4 cup)
       100g fresh milk (1/2 cup)
       85g vegetable oil (1/2 cup)
       zest from 1 lemon

      1/2茶匙 肉桂粉
      2个 大鸡蛋
      70克 细糖或赤砂糖
      75克 蜂蜜
      100克 牛奶
      85克 菜油
      1粒 柠檬皮屑
