Rebecca of Chow and Chatter sent me some British Tea which I received yesterday. I was so excited and immediately drop one tea bag into my mug of boiling water, I can smell instantly the aroma of the refreshing tea flavour....Mmm...What a great cup of tea. Thanks again, Rebecca.
I have used the British tea to make some cupcakes today and this is for you, Rebecca. Hope you like this and bake some at home.

200g Sugar
2 Eggs
1/2 cup Milk (125ml)
1 tsp Baking soda
1/2 cup Boiling water with 1 tea bag of British tea
220g All Purpose Flour (plain flour)
1/4 tsp Salt
2 tsp Baking powder
one bag of British tea leaves
Method:
- Sift flour, salt and baking powder together in a bowl. Dissolve baking soda in milk.
- Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs one at a time, continue beating.
- Then add in the rest of the ingredients (milk, tea liquid *remove tea bag*, flour ingredients and British tea leaves), beat till smooth (about one minute).
- Spoon batter into greased paper cases to 3/4 full.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 170C for about 25 mins or until skewer inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Leave cupcakes to cool on rack or serve warm with "British Tea".
